Mosques in Singapore provide a unique Islamic education system specifically for children below the age of 7. Since the early beginnings of mosques in HDB estates, mosques have opened up kindergartens to offer Muslim parents an Islamic pre-school environment. At Darul Ghufran Mosque, there is a specialty for 3 segments of pre-primary school kids. Darul Ghufran Mosque offers a Playgroup programme for ages 2 to 3, a Nursery programme for 4 year olds, and a Kindergarten programme for ages 5 to 6. Each programme infuses basic Islamic elements like beginning and ending the day with Doa (supplications), saying prayers before meals, caring and sharing with other children.
